State Police at Binghamton investigated an industrial accident Monday morning in which a Pa. man was fatally electrocuted while conducting elevated train bridge measurements in the Town of Colesville.

The investigation revealed that 39-year-old Thomas F. Tarchak of Simpson, Pa., was taking bridge measurements under an elevated train track in a high lift when the lift came in contact with NYSEG power lines, causing Tarchak to be fatally electrocuted.
